Duvel-Moortgat (1871) Breendonk, Antwerpen
Duvel 6.66 was created to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Duvel-Moortgat brewery. Surprisingly low in alcohol content compared to its predecessors, yet it boasts a full-bodied taste. It’s a Belgian “blond” that combines traditional Belgian characteristics with the qualities of modern craft beers. Brewed and cold-hopped with no less than 6 different hops, including the Saaz and Styrian Golding varieties that provide the original Duvel and Tripel Hop’s classic base flavors. Despite its devilish name, the golden label is uplifting, and tasting it offers a heavenly experience: well-balanced, fruity bitterness thanks to the hops and added orange peel, creating a smooth and pleasant drink. Bold, innovative, and sophisticated!
